Mirror

Turns an arrow's path by 90 degrees.

First appears on level 61

What it does

A mirror is one cell with a diagonal bar of glass, / or \. It holds no arrow and blocks nothing: an arrow whose path reaches it turns 90 degrees there and carries on.

A / turns a path heading right to go up, and one heading left to go down; a \ turns right into down and left into up. A path can bend more than once, and the arrow is free if the bent path is clear to the edge.

How to beat it

  • Follow the path, not the arrowhead: an arrow that looks blocked straight ahead may be free round the corner, and one that looks free may turn into a crowd.
  • Grid lines (the powerup) draw the bent paths for you.

Good to know

  • Mirrors first appear on level 61, three of them and nothing else; the tutorial taps an arrow that escapes round a bend.
  • In-game tip: "Mirrors turn arrows by 90 degrees."
