Exitwise

Privacy policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you play Exitwise (the "game") on Android, iOS or the web. The game is made by VGraphics ("we", "us").

The short version

Information stored on your device

The game saves your current level, your coins and hints, your best time on each level, your sound and vibration settings, and what you have bought (such as "Remove Ads"). This is kept in the app's local storage on your phone or tablet, or in your browser's storage on the web. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site's data in your browser, deletes it.

Your game account

So that leaderboards know which results are yours, the game gives every player an account with Google Firebase Authentication. It is a random identifier with no name or email attached. If you sign in with Google Play Games on Android, that account is linked to your Play Games player ID, and your Play Games name may be offered as a username suggestion. On the web (CrazyGames), the game keeps this identifier in your CrazyGames save data, so it follows your CrazyGames account to other browsers; CrazyGames handles its own login under the CrazyGames Privacy Policy, and we receive your CrazyGames username only to suggest it as your name.

You can also sign in with a Google account: on Android in Settings → "Link Google account", and on our website (vgraphics.gr) with "Sign in". This lets you play with the same progress on your phone and on the website. Google then shares your Google account's email address, name and profile picture link with Firebase Authentication, which keeps them with your game account. We use them only to sign you in and to show which Google account is linked; they are never shown to other players, shared or used for ads. If your Google account already belongs to another game account, the game joins the two into one: it asks which progress to keep, and deletes the other game account with its username and leaderboard results.

Cloud save

On Android, when you sign in with Google Play Games, and on our website when you sign in with Google, a copy of your saved game (the same information as on your device) is stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore under your game account, so you can continue on another device. If this device and your account both have progress, the game asks which one to keep. On CrazyGames, your save is kept by CrazyGames in your browser or, once you log in, in your CrazyGames account.

Leaderboards and your profile

When you win a level without a continue or a powerup, your result for that level (the hearts you lost and your time) is sent to the level's leaderboard in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore, together with your game account identifier. Only your best result per level is kept. If you are offline, the result waits on your device and is sent later.

Leaderboards are visible to everyone who plays the game. They show your username and picture if you set a profile, or "Player" and the first characters of your account identifier if you didn't. The first time you open a leaderboard, the game asks whether you want to choose a username (3 to 16 letters, digits or underscores) and one of the game's preset pictures, or on Android a photo of your own (see below). A username can't be changed once it's set, so choose carefully; your picture can be changed in Settings → Profile. Please don't use your real name or anything that identifies you. Names that are rude or pretend to be us are refused, and names that other players report are taken away (see "Reports and blocking").

Profile pictures

On Android, if you sign in with Google Play Games, you can use a photo from your phone as your picture instead of a preset one. You choose it with Android's photo picker, so the game only ever sees the photo you pick. The game cuts it to a square and sends it to our server (Google Cloud Functions). The server makes a small copy (192 × 192 pixels) without the photo's hidden details, such as where and with which camera it was taken. It then checks that copy with Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch for nudity, violence and similar content, before anyone else can see it. Google processes the picture on our behalf only to check it. Pictures that pass are stored in Google Firebase Cloud Firestore and shown to every player next to your name. Pictures that don't pass aren't kept. You can remove your picture at any time in Settings → Profile.

Don't use pictures with nudity or sexual content, violence or gore, hate symbols, someone else's photo without their permission, or personal details such as a phone number or address. The game shows these rules before your first picture.

Reports and blocking

Tap another player on a leaderboard to report their picture or name, or to block them. Blocking hides their picture and name on your device only. A report hides them for you too, and is stored with your game account identifier and the reported player's. When three different players who are signed in (with Google Play Games or Google, or with CrazyGames) report the same picture, it is removed automatically. A player who loses two pictures this way can't upload pictures any more. When three report the same username, it is taken away and stays reserved so that nobody can use it again, and its owner chooses a new one. So that a removed picture or name can't come straight back, we keep these moderation records even after you delete your data: the counts, the game account identifiers of the reporters and of the uploader (linked to their Google Play Games player ID, Google account or CrazyGames user ID), and a username that is being reported or was removed.

Deleting your data

  • Username, picture and leaderboard results: Settings → Profile → "Delete my leaderboard data" deletes your profile and picture, frees your username and removes all your results from every leaderboard. You can then choose a new username.
  • Cloud save and account (Android, and our website): Settings → "Delete cloud save" deletes your cloud save, your profile, picture and leaderboard results, and your game account with the Google account details linked to it. The progress on your device or in your browser stays.
  • On CrazyGames: your save is managed by CrazyGames (see their privacy policy).
  • You can also email us at the address below and we will delete it for you.

Data you don't delete is kept for as long as the game runs its leaderboards and cloud saves.

Analytics and crash reports

On Android and iOS we use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. Analytics tells us things like which levels players finish and where they give up, so we can tune the difficulty. Crashlytics sends a report when the game crashes, so we can fix it. They collect an app instance identifier, your device model, operating system and language, your approximate country, and in-game events or crash details. We use this only to improve the game, never to identify you or to show you ads. See Privacy and Security in Firebase.

On the web we use Google Analytics for the same purpose: the same game events, and error reports when something goes wrong in the game. It doesn't receive your name, email or Google account, and it uses an identifier stored in your browser. On our website it only runs if you allow it when the game first opens; you can change your answer with the "Statistics" link under the game.

Advertising

To keep the game free, it shows ads: a small banner, occasional ads between levels, and optional video ads you can choose to watch for a reward, such as continuing a level. The ads are delivered by these partners:

These partners may automatically collect information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address (and the rough location it reveals), device model, operating system, language, and how you interact with ads. They use it to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure results, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, to personalize ads. We don't receive this information about you personally.

Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before your data is used for personalized ads, using Google's consent tool (see the Google Privacy Policy). On iOS, ads are only personalized using your device's advertising identifier if you allow tracking when asked. If you say no, you may still see ads, but they won't be based on your activity in other apps.

If you live in a US state with a consumer privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas or Virginia), you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for ads at any time on Android and iOS: in the game, open Settings → Ad choices and choose "Don't sell or share my data". We then pass your choice on to our advertising partners.

Where we ask for your consent, you can change your choice at any time in the game under Settings → Ad choices. You can also reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalization at any time in your device's privacy or ads settings.

In-app purchases

If you buy something in the game (such as "Remove Ads" or coins), the payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their own privacy policies (Google, Apple). We never see your payment details. The game only receives a confirmation that the purchase was made.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the game, contact us and we will help remove it.

Your rights

We don't hold your real name or contact details, and analytics data isn't tied to them. You can see your username, picture and results in the game, change your picture, and delete all of them as described under "Deleting your data". If you'd like anything else deleted or have a question about your data, email us and we'll help as far as we can. For data collected by our advertising partners, use the links above or your device's ad settings. Firebase services are provided by Google; see Privacy and Security in Firebase.

Changes to this policy

If the game starts handling information differently, we will update this page and the date at the top.
