Palermo from night to day: the two killers whisper on the moonlit rooftops while the Mayor, the Baker and the Seamstress meet in the morning light

A round

How it plays

From the deal to the verdict: one night and one day, again and again until a side has won.

How it works

  1. 1

The deal: hold your phone to see your card, then tap Got it.

  2. 2

The first night: recognition only, no kill.

  3. 3

Dawn: who the killers found, or a night without a murder, and the town's rumour.

  4. 4

The talk: accusations, arguments and secret actions.

  5. 5

The vote and the verdict, then the next night.

What it does

A game opens with the deal: everyone holds their phone to see their card, and the TV names the roles in play if the host chose so.

The first night only introduces the killers to each other and the Known Killer to the Police Officer.

From then on each round is a dawn, a day's talk, a vote, a verdict and a night, until a side has won.

A safety valve keeps it moving: after three full rounds without a death, the narrator says the town won't wait any longer, and ties go to fate from then on.
