Basics
Custom maps
Build your own levels, and play other players' maps.
What it does
Custom maps, on the level map, opens players' own levels: browse Popular, New and Top rated, search by name or share code, and filter by size and difficulty.
Each map has its own leaderboard, a rating and a clear rate. Your first clear of another player's map pays 10 to 30 coins, depending on how hard it is.
How it works for you
- In the editor, pick a size (5 to 40 cells each way), one of 49 starting shapes, plain ones or pictures (a picture starts big enough to show whole), and one of the 17 world looks, by day or by night.
- The tray has four groups of tools. Draw: the board's cells, arrows in six colours, bombs and chain bombs, and the eraser. Blocks: rocks of level 1, 2 or 3, ice and shutters. Colours: gates, two-colour gates, paint tiles and colour switches. Paths: mirrors and portal pairs.
- Above the tools, the strip holds the picked tool's settings: a colour, a rock's level, the number of arrows ice or a shutter waits for, a mirror's slant or the kind of bomb. Tap a block with its own tool to give it those settings, or to turn a mirror. A portal pair is a drag from one end to the other, or two taps.
- The check bar tells you straight away when an arrow can never leave or a block breaks a rule, and rates the map from Easy to Expert.
- Test your map: you have to clear it yourself before you can publish it with a share code.
- Every map follows the map rules. From a map's page you can report it or hide a creator's maps.
Good to know
- Every block works in a map just as it does in the levels: each one has its own page in this wiki.
- In the editor, shutters are see-through, so you can see the arrows they hide. A map has at most 6 portal pairs, and ice and shutters count up to 99.
- A map with chain bombs, level-2 or level-3 rocks, paint tiles, two-colour gates or switches needs the latest version of Exitwise: older versions can't play it.
